Our Story
June Balloon is a consummate professional. An appropriate term that has been used to describe his role in the music industry is the “hip-hop concierge”, a moniker given by a dear and since deceased friend. While June Balloon has had official titles working for one of the most legendary hip-hop labels ever, one would be hard-pressed to describe all he does or has done under one title. June got his start at Bad Boy Records as an intern for street team promotions. However, his dedication, attention to detail and drive eventually led him to become the National Director of Street Promotions, Mix Show Radio, and Club Promotions.
While many may recognize the name June Balloon for his role at Bad Boy Records, he has also been very influential behind the scenes in hip hop fashion culture as well. June Balloon has worked closely with some of the most iconic hip hop clothing brands and influencers. However his greatest influence in the fashion world started right at home from his mother who is a master seamstress.
June Balloon has worked with some of the most iconic music artists and fashion designers in hip hop. Many of which he’s had personal relationships with before they were stars. June Balloon’s reputation for his drive and tenacity is well known to this day. It is June’s reputation for being an honest, trustworthy and hard working guy that has helped him maintain key industry connections. It is those relationships that he now uses to connect his current clientele to key industry players.
In fact it was this very thing that led to June Balloon’s stellar career with another historic record label Cash Money. His work with independent artist Jon Doe, led to a record deal with Grammy winning producer Timbaland’s Beatclub Imprint. He was also the manager for Making the Band artist BABs and helped her secure a solo deal with Bad Boy. It was June’s work with indie artists like this that gained the attention of the Cash Money bosses, which led to his relationships with the likes of Baby, Slim and Hip Hop legend lil Wayne. He has also worked with artists like Lil Kim, The Clipse, 50 cent, and French Montana more recently.
June Balloon hails from Rosedale, Queens, NYC. In Hip Hop culture people from Queens are known for their dapper sense of style. June was quoted saying: “I benefited and learned a lot about fashion from my relationships with guys like Groovey Lew and Mike B. I also learned a lot from being around guys lIke Puff and Baby.” Over the years June gained a reputation in the Music industry and streets as a well dressed guy with a great sense of fashion, lots of connections and even more know how!
It would be easy to believe that a person who personally knew the late great Notorious B.I.G. came up through the trenches with P. Diddy, is cousins with Harve Pierre, who worked with more platinum artists than you can name, who has worked in the fashion world with legendary clothing companies like Sean John and FUBU might be unapproachable or jaded by all the success. The opposite couldn’t be more true of June Balloon. In spite of all the accolades, industry connections and general respect that his peers have for him, June Balloon is also one of the most humble people you will ever meet. Which is why he has the reputation that he has.
